WHO WE ARE
The Empire City Garrison, or ECG, is a New York Chapter of the 501st Legion. Formed in 1999, we are proud to be one of the original garrisons of this definitive Star Wars © costuming organization. Our members portray the “Bad Guys” from the beloved franchise accurately and professionally.

What is the 501st Legion?
The 501st Legion is an all-volunteer organization formed for the express purpose of bringing together costume enthusiasts under a collective identity within which to operate. The 501st Legion seeks to promote interest in Star Wars through the building and wearing of quality costumes, and to facilitate the use of these costumes for Star Wars-related events as well as contributions to the local community through costumed charity and volunteer work.
Our All Volunteer Membership
Our dedicated members scratch-build and fund their costumes to meet 501st Costuming Standards. We are VOLUNTEERS and dedicate our time in costume to good causes in our territory.
